A Statista research states that over 3 billion internet users have been watching streaming or downloaded video at least once a month throughout 2022.
Most companies collect data on the videos that are popular on a particular website in order to improve their own content strategy. Another reason for collecting video data is to gather information on competitors’ marketing strategies.
Additionally, businesses use video scraping to collect links to use in their own marketing campaigns or to build a database of video content for a video platform.
Automated video scraping can save you a lot of time and effort compared to manual data collection, especially when scraping large amounts of data.
In this tutorial, we will demonstrate how to get Youtube, Vimeo, Rutube, Facebook, and Instagram video links in bulk from any website in minutes.
To get started, you need to have a Hexomatic.com account.
Step 1: Create a new workflow
Go to your Hexomatic dashboard and create a new workflow with data input.
Step 2: Add the targeted website URLs
Next, insert the targeted website URLs using the Manual paste/list of inputs option.
You can add a single URL or URLs in bulk.
Step 3: Add the Video links extractor automation
Next, add the Video links extractor automation, selecting data input as the source. Then, select the channels. In this case, we will choose Vimeo. You can also choose the Select All option, to extract all the video links supported by Hexomatic on the given pages.
Step 4: Run the workflow
You can click Run now to run the workflow or schedule it.
Step 5: View and save the results
Once your workflow has finished running, you can view the results and export them to CSV or Google Sheets.
As you can see, it took us a few minutes to extract the video links detected on the given web pages.
